A New Year, A New Blog!
So much has changed in my life since I started this blog two years ago…and while some things continue to change, other things remain constant, like my friend Nathan Pralle, who very generously revamped this blog for me today.? Many, many thanks Nathan, and may a plethora of business come your way in 2009 because you’re truly amazing and everyone should be so lucky as to know you and work with you.
I had stopped blogging on this blog a year ago…I associated it with with bad memories and just dreaded coming here every day to write.? I decided that now is the time to move on, and with said moving on, a new, fresh look and no clutter to accompany it.?
I was blogging for a bit on myspace.com, I love my MySpace, if you get a chance, check mine out.? You can hear some of my favorite music, including Josh Groban’s “When You Say You Love Me” , a song that is very, very special to me.? The pitfall with MySpace though, and it was driving me crazy, is that it wouldn’t allow me to post links.? Three times during the holidays I tried to post links to recipes for Chex Mix, Frank’s Hot Sauce recipes and more, and the stupid thing wouldn’t let me.? After losing? blog posts four paragraphs long or longer because of this, I finally gave up in frustration.? Still, I didn’t want to blog here and so I just didn’t blog at all:(
Our holidays were good…peaceful, happy and relaxing, even if money was tight this year and we did a lot less with Christmas, everyone was happy and we weren’t so focused on material things. I made a few New Year’s resolutions, as most people do…so far I am doing well keeping them…Andrea Wainscott has been pushing me for over a year now to start a new digital store with her–pushing is putting it mildly, twisting my arm is a better description because I railed against it so vehemently for a very long time.? I at last have put some products in our store, TooFaboo.com. Go take a peek if you like:) Right now it’s products that have been previously released elsewhere, but over time I will begin creating again.? The recovery process has been slow, and it isn’t without some hesitation that I go back into digital, even though this company is ours, mine and Andrea’s, and I know that I have no fear of losing time or anything else I invest in it.
I have also been considering asking the fabulous Kay Miller to reinstate me to her creative team…I so enjoy her work and Mary?Fran’s as well…those two ladies could seriously keep me broke when it comes to graphics for scrapbooking and papercrafting.? That might jumpstart the creative process for me digitally again.? I’ve really been in the mood to do a recipe card swap, so if any of you know of one?I could participate in, please let me know in a comment, alright??
In the meantime, I picked up a gorgeous pack of DMC Linen floss at Jo-Ann Fabrics over the weekend and will be stitching some really pretty designs with that, and will be creating a really cool name sign for Evan’s room with jumbo paper mache letters.? I’ll post pictures of these projects as I complete them, hopefully they’ll get your creative juices flowing too!
In addition to this blog, Andrea and I have a blog at Too Faboo…between here and there, I will be posting some nifty gifties for my readers.? I love to give gifts and have contests, so bring on the fun in 2009!
As wonderful as this new blog is, and as good as I feel about it, I could write in it all night…but there are baths to take, and Zoofari games to be played and books to be read before bedtime.
Until next time,
S.

Stacey, it is so good to see you working on art again.. I think you have a wonderful gift and a generous heart… Do you mind me mentioning your site at other places so that you can start to get back in the swing of things? Missed you lots and proud you are back. Hugs, Kath
Kath that would be really nice of you to do, by all means mention us where ever you’d like. Thanks so much for the warm welcome back.

It’s great to hear what’s happening with you again Miss Stacey. I was just thinking about you on Sunday and wondering how you were doing.
