Today commences the football season for our small towns’ ?highschool football teams…Evan and I are off at 4 p.m. to go the J.V. game to watch my niece cheerlead.? Autumn is indeed on the doorstep, and I for one am happy as can be about that.? It’s my favorite time of year; so many things to do and so many awesome things to bake and share with family and friends!
Today marks 7 weeks for me as a nonsmoker.? I think I’m a bigger bitch than I used to be as a result though, hopefully that mellows over time.
Went to Petoskey with my parents today and bought a new mailbox!? One of the postal workers informed me that “the steps to your house creep me out” (a little dramatic, don’t ya think?), and asked me to move my mailbox to the side rail beside the drive way.? The problem with that is is that this winter, with snow up to our asses, you won’t be able to deliver the mail there without risk of slipping and falling either.? Solution:? A shiny new Rubbermaid Gentry mailbox?in mocha, to be installed near the cross section of the public sidewalk and the private walk to my porch tomorrow morning.? I have to say I love the way this mailbox looks, it’s wide enough and tall enough receive packages as well, and has a backdoor for easy mail retrieval.? I will do a product review and post pictures tomorrow.? It’s funny the things that excite homeowners, isn’t it?
Carl is safely ensconced in his apartment at LSSU…he seems to be enjoying living on his own, which is wonderful.? We’ll be going up to visit the 18th of September, when Evan goes to stay the weekend with his brother.
Going to do some digital scrapbooking today I think, I have more pictures of Evan to scrap, and found some adorable baseball stamps at Designer Digitals that I simply have to have.? Other than that, I’m going to have a relaxing weekend, lots of projects to do around my house, and baking to be done, of course!
S.
