My Daredevil Will Survive!
I took Evan to the orthopaedist yesterday for an xray and check up on the infamous broken arm and things are looking great.
?For those of you who didn’t know, he took a dare from his cousin Labor Day weekend and jumped off a piece of playground equipment.? The resulting buckle fracture landed him in a cast for four weeks; we’re at the half way point now.
We go back October 6th to the office in Petoskey to have one last xray and the cast removed.? This injury hasn’t slowed my little daredevil down a bit…he runs and plays as if it never happened!? I’m always telling him “Be careful, you don’t want to break the other one!”.? The doctor told him yesterday if he breaks the other arm, he’s putting him in a cast from head to toe leaving a straw-hole at the mouth only so he can eat…Evan’s eyes got as big as plates hearing that! LOL!
Anyhow I took a couple pictures of his bright blue cast before it was filled up with signatures.? He carried a sharpie around for two days he had so many people that wanted to sign it.
Looking forward to our Cub Scout Meet and Greet this weekend, I’m the Den Leader for Evan’s den.? Should be a really fun year!
