Sunday Morning Musings: December 6, 2009
First things first…I love the post format of this blog.? Kelli gets everything across in a few sentences and I just love it.? I would copy her, but I don’t know how long I could keep it up before I slip back into my overly verbose ways.? But if you notice little one-liners, it’s definitely because I’m copying Kelli.
I put today’s date in the post because I like the title so much I’ll be using it again.? I think I’m going to use “Sunday Morning Musings” as sort of a week in review, to maybe cover things I didn’t cover in other posts during the week.
Outside my office window, as of half an hour ago:
Yes, we have snow.? Lots of it.? This tree pic is really not indicative of how much snow we have, it just caught my eye as I glimpsed outside this morning.? We have about 10 to 12 inches of snow…I had to shovel three times on Friday alone, and need to do it again.? Winter has finally arrived, and it feels like Christmas at last.
From the Department of Evanisms:
The first picture is of a speeding ticket.? Notice I have to pay the judge directly (lucky judge!) and that the ticket was issued with tender loving care.? Seriously, my son makes me laugh.? The second picture is of Evan’s latest superhero creation, which I thought was pretty darn brilliant for a seven year old.? “The Hewman I” (The Human Eye)?is a superhero that can see everything, including the future.? In the picture he sees a bank robbery before it happens.? Evan loves to draw and has such a fantastic imagination, I love it when he shares it with me.
In other news, I’ve coordinated a cookie exchange on FaceBook.? There are 7 of us participating, and I am so excited!? I am going to make one recipe that’s new to me, and one that is a favorite (peanut butter bon bons).? I am also debating making recipe cards today for this event.? We’ll have to see what kind of creative mood I end up in today.?
Savor the end of your weekend, ?
S.

A speeding ticket, Stacey? Nice. Guess you’ve given your son the impression that you’re a bad-ass on the road, eh?
Actually Nathan, Evan is going through a “I want to be a cop” phase, and thus writes me a lot of speeding tickets.
