The morrow was a bright September morn;
The earth was beautiful as if new-born;
There was that nameless splendor everywhere
That wild exhilaration in the air.

Happy Blogiversary, This Just In!

Technically it’s the third anniversary of this blog.? But it’s the first anniversary of this incarnation of it.??Over the?past year I filled my little part of the blogiverse with little bits of my life and really came to love this tiny little space of mine.? Here’s to another year of even more sharing recipes, crafts, fun and little bits of my life.??

?To celebrate, I’m giving away a prize every?Tuesday for the month of January.?

?If I’m feeling frisky,?there might be a?digital download or two?in addition, so stay tuned.?

Unfortunately I am not?Pioneer Woman, I don’t have sponsors like Chef’s Catalog–so I’m not giving away a Kitchen Aid Mixer.?

But I am giving away?two?sets of adorable recipe cards.? The exact same ones I made for my guests at our inaugural cookie exchange this year in fact.

Pretty in pink with a cupcake theme, there are 12 cards in protective sleeves in each set.

To enter,? simply leave a comment to this post and tell me

?”What’s your favorite thing to bake?”

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 12 at noon EST.? A new contest will begin immediately following.

Thanks for your time and friendship, I look forward to blogging with you another year!

Favorite thing to bake is homemade chocolate chip cookies. I change the recipe a little to make them soft. I take out a quarter cup of white sugar and replace it with a quarter cup of corn syrup. Now you have soft cookies.

  • CaliKat Kay:

Stacey, your recipe cards are just darling and I hope I will be a lucky winner! My most favorite thing to bake is cho chip cookies. Each member of my family likes them done in a certain way. So that keeps me on my toes, to be sure no one runs out of their own batch…LOL
Happy Blogiversary! Hope to visit more often again, now that the holidays are getting wound down.
    Love, Kay

  • Jenni:

Congratulations on the anniversary of your blog Stacey. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year.

My favorite things to bake are my Moist & Frostingless Cupcakes. My DH prefers no frosting on his cake and i found a way to make the cake moist and delicious so that you don’t miss it.

Again, Congratulations and best wishes in 2010.

Congratulations on this great milestone! You have a wonderful blog! I am so glad that I found it – I have bookmarked it and will be a frequent visitor now. :-)

The recipe cards are truly adorable – I would love to win them! Fingers are crossed that I have good luck in this New Year!

Now to your question – what is my favorite thing to bake? It would have to be my pumpkin pies. Why pumplin pies? Because my family loves them so very much! I get such a wonderful feeling seeing them gather around the oven, saying things such as “are they ready yet?” and “How much longer?” and the one that makes me giggle, “You DID bake two, right?!”

Talk about being “heart healthy” – hearing your family impatient over what is coming out of the oven is the best medicine a person can ever have! :-)

Happy New Year to you! I look forward to visiting in 2010!

I just love you blog. I loved all the pics of the cookies exchange (we still have left overs) and of Evan growing up. I’ve asked him everyday this week why he doesn’t have his mohawk. I keep forgetting to tell him we all got lemurs and flame-throwers for Christmas.

My favorite thing to bake…..we’ll anything that I like to eat. Biscotti is actually my favorite to eat (which is why I am off to the gym to buy a membership). Actually my favorite thing to bake is anything that I am giving to others. I love to share my “Joy of Baking” with those who don’t see the “joy” in it or don’t have the time for it.

    Looking forward to tea.

Congratulations Miss Stacey!! Blogging is very theraputic, especially when you know someone else is interested in what you have to say…lol.

gosh… what do I love to bake most… I think it is probably bread, just about any kind. I love the smell that fills the house. I’ve always been a from scratch baker. But I will say that having a bread machine to do the kneading has been a blessing. I don’t use it to actually bake the bread very often, but we have rolls and buns and bread a lot more often because of it.

Keep blogging… I love keeping up with you… Hugs,

    Patty

Congrats! I just love this blog too!

My favorite thing to bake is Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies. I found the recipe on the lid of Quaker Oats a few yrs ago and have been baking them ever since. Different than the usual Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. I like the slightly tart taste the cranberries give and the cookies just melt in your mouth!

  • Carl:

My favorite thing to bake is your Mac n Cheese!!! Love your blog Mom, looking forward to more entries!

  • Sagga02:

Congrats on the one yr Stace!

I like to bake peppermint oatmeal cookies. Sadly this yr i was unable to find the red and white peppermint chips :(

  • Darlene Rondeau:

OMG!!! I love your site!!! I am a scrapbooker too and I checked out the necklaces with the hearts. I think I am going to place an order. They are so cute. Thanks for sharing!!!

My favorite thing to bake would be Cheesecakes of any kinds.

  • cinnamama:

I love to bake anything but my favorite is anything that contains white chocolate. Love your blog to Stacey.

  • Marilyn:

I am checking out your site, and everything looks delicious, I think I will make this as a favorite.
My favorite thing to bake is also cheescakes, of any kind.

  • Congratulations, Stacey, on your anniversary — a veritable accomplishment! Many, many more years of happy posting to you. (don’t bother entering me in the contest, I just wanted to say, CONGRATS!)

  • Congrats on a year!
My favourite thing to make is brownies. My other half loves it when I make banana bread.

  • Meant to say, I don’t need an entry either – but wanted to share.
