A New Arrival

No, I didn’t have a baby.? Unlike a lot of blogs that I read, I am not just itching to have another child because I’m just dripping with?love for my man.? Not that there’s anything wrong with feeling like that, but boy it’s not me.? I love the two I have and they are more than enough for my temperament and personality.

My new arrival is this:

The Nikon D3000 Digital SLR.? This is my first SLR camera of any type.? Let me tell you…this is a daunting camera.? I have much to learn.

The package I got came with two lenses.? An 18-55 mm Auto Focus and a 55-200 mm Auto Focus.? They will be good lenses to start with.? I also received two Nikon School videos as well, both of which are very informative.? They go at a rather fast pace though, so I’ll be watching them again.? And again.?

I will also be ordering The Nikon D3000 for Dummies book.? I’ve heard it’s pretty good.? I might also get The Nikon D3000 Digital Field Guide…I’ve read great reviews on this as well.? Black Beauty (yes, I’ve named this camera) and I are going to be friends for a very long time, we may as well get to know each other.? Looking forward to the weekend, going to take some shots of Little Man’s Pinewood Derby.? We’ll see how it goes!
