As we kick off the summer season this weekend, we’re doing some of the traditional things like going to our small town’s Memorial Day Parade, the memorial service at the Lest We Forget Park.? We’re having a cookout too, with burgers, hotdogs, chips, baked beans and whatnot.? Oh, and some really nifty cookies I’ll be making (pictures and recipe to come this week).
Little Man, however, has other ideas.? Summer for him means water, and lots of it.? Not the kind you drink either.? He was rather irritated when we sold our pool, because we truly did enjoy it.? We don’t have room for it in our yard though.
We live five minutes from Lake Huron public access, but we don’t always want a crowd of people around.
And I’ve got a sprinkler head with different setting?for my hose, but let’s face it…that’s just plain boring.?
Toadie and I were at the store one day though and saw a slip and slide.?
But it wasn’t just any slip and slide.? This was one special.
It looked like they made it with my boy in mind.
So we bought it.
Can you guess what it might look like?
Could it not have been more perfect?? The Jaws of Doom!
Ready…set….GO!
There he goes…into the Jaws of Doom!
He survived though.
Even if he did think the water was just a tiny bit cold.?
?Did I tell you this thing came with 3D goggles? Yep, it sure did!
I have a cool and happy boy.? He says his slip and slide is the best thing ever.? I think the pool is at least semi-forgotten.
More summer fun awaits and I can’t wait to share it with you!
