?Outside my window…? ~?54 degrees, cloudy and raining.
?I am thinking…? ~that I’m enjoying this rainy day indoors.? I’m watching movies and baking another Texas sheet cake.
?I am thankful for… ~ the internet.? There is just so much mind stimulating information out there at our fingertips because of it.
?I am wearing… ~my new Mr. Snuffleupagus nightgown.? Yes, it’s noon and I’m still lounging.
?I am remembering…? ~Little Man’s Writer’s Celebration last week at school.? Some kids wrote about their grandparents.? Other kids wrote about the class field trip.? My son?? My son wrote about the time he threw up in my kitchen when he had a friend over.? Complete with illustrations of projectile vomit.? Oh the material I have for when he’s older!
??I am going… ~ to take Little Man to Sea Shell City this week.? Also on deck…our postponed trip to Mackinaw City, and catching “Marmaduke” the movie.
?I am currently reading…? ~cook books and cooking websites.? A trip to the library is in order.
?I am hoping…? ~that we’ll be able to reschedule tonight’s bonfire soon.? Rain has kinda put the brakes on it for today.
?On my mind… ~Saving up to buy my sister’s refrigerator when she moves.? It’s a very good deal, and I need a new one–my current one is leaking.
?Noticing that…?? ~I am getting BIG ants in my house this year…normally if ants come indoors here, it’s just the little brown sugar ants…this year it’s the big black variety, and although they’re few, they still creep me out.
?Pondering these words… “God never gives you more than you can handle.”
?From the kitchen… ~Spaghetti last night, breakfast for dinner tonight, pan fried cube steak tomorrow night, slow cooked pulled pork sandwiches on Tuesday.? Texas sheet cake today, along with a post about it soon.
?Around the house… ~ Maintaining the clean, again.? Laundry is completely finished for a couple of days.? Lawn will need mowed once the rain stops.? I need to plan a day to go through Little Man’s room and cull his toy box.
?One of my favorite things? ~ walking with an umbrella in the rain.? I love the smell of the wet grass, and the feeling that the world just got a bath.
