The Simple Woman’s Day Book June 20, 2010

?Outside my window…? ~?Sunny and a cool 59 degrees.

?I am thinking…? ~about jam! I just made strawberry jam, but I’m really looking forward to raspberry.

?I am thankful for… ~Little Man’s Dad.? He’s a good guy, and a great father.? My own father.? He’s an example in so many ways.

?I am wearing… ~Fuzzy jammy pants and my Snuffleupagus nightie.

?I am remembering…? ~the good times and laughs I used to have with my sisters.

??I am going… ~ to go to the beach more.? We went yesterday and it was so relaxing.

?I am currently reading…? ~Wolf Hall.? It’s a historical book about Thomas Cromwell.

?I am hoping…? ~Little Man is okay with baseball tournaments next weekend.? They move to a formal style of play, which is something they haven’t done all summer.? It’s going to come as a shock to those boys when they keep score and hold them to three strikes and three outs.

?On my mind… ~planning my basement cleaning project.? It’s more organizing than cleaning, but I would like to get it done.

?Noticing that…?? ~summer is nearly a third over.? I divide summer into berry seasons.? Strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, Labor Day.

?Pondering these words… “Live life with no regrets.” This is an admirable aspiration, but very hard to achieve.? No regrets means no mistakes, and how do you live, learn and grow without them?

?From the kitchen… ~Sloppy Joes picnic with my parents, Andrea and her kids, and my niece and nephew Jessica and Nathan.??

?Around the house… ~ Working on laundry today.? Will do the usual sweeping, but I’m decluttered for the most part and just need to maintain it.

?One of my favorite things? ~?Sitting out on my patio furniture on my deck.? It’s a great place to read.?
