FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook
Outside my window… ~79 degrees, sunny, beautiful and not humid.  Thank goodness, the last two days have been horrid.

I am thinking… ~about all the things I want to craft with my Silhouette cutting machine and stamping.  I have been in a really crafty mood lately!

I am thankful for… ~living in Northern Michigan.  I love it here.  I know my home town is dying, people are leaving in droves because there are no jobs, but I still love this area.

I am wearing… ~my nightgown.  Yes, I’m still in my jammies.

I am remembering… ~all the fun we’ve had this summer.  We didn’t do anything standout, like take a vacation, but we’ve had a lot of good times with simple pleasures close to home.

I am going… ~to give being a good diabetic this week my best effort.  One day at a time.

I am currently reading…”Broke, USA” a book about the Poverty, Inc. industry in the US.  I also finished “The Time of My Life” by Lisa Niemi and Patrick Swayze.  That was a great book.

I am hoping…~that I can get Little Man on schedule for school bedtime.  He’s fighting it for all he’s worth.

On my mind… ~getting back on track with my diabetes behavior.  I really blew this past week.

Noticing that… ~the days are getting shorter.  Not too long till that autumn chill is in the air!

Pondering these words… “Live in the moment.” It used to drive me crazy when Oprah would say those words.  I didn’t get it then.  I get it now.

From the kitchen… ~French Dips, Spaghetti, Grilled Meatloaf (yes, again…what can I say, we love it!), Hamburgers on the Grill.

Around the house… ~general maintenance.  Swept, dusted, cleaned bathrooms, did dishes, caught up laundry.

One of my favorite things ~breakfast food.  Whether I cook it at home, or go out to eat, I love pancakes, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, well done sausage patties, and thick slices of wheat toast with extra butter.
