The Simple Woman’s Daybook Hallowe’en 2010 Edition
FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook
Outside my window… ~37 frigid degrees and sunny. A perfect late fall day, complete with clear blue skies.
I am thinking… ~that I need to become more firm in some of the decisions I’ve made about some personal issues.
I am thankful for… ~my sons. They make me laugh, cry, and want to tear my hair out by turns. I love them.
I am remembering… ~the great time Little Man and I had at the Hallowe’en party we went to last night.
I am going… ~to see Guys and Dolls in a couple of weeks with my mom and Toadie. I am really looking forward to it.
I am currently reading…~The Questing Road. It’s different, but good.
I am hoping…~that I can truly cut the snake’s head off. It will come with some sacrifices, unfortunately.
On my mind… ~improving Little Man’s writing skills. He has great hand writing, but I need to teach him more about the uses of adverbs and adjectives.
Noticing that… ~my Little Man loves school and is doing very well. Science is his favorite subject.
Pondering these words… “You reap what you sow.”
From the kitchen… ~Lasagna with garlic bread, meatloaf, home made macaroni and cheese, and jam bars made with my home made apple butter on deck.
Around the house… ~Laundry today, sweeping, dusting, decluttering. I have an extra day off from work on Monday, and have an eye appointment…I’m getting bifocals, and I’m just so excited! No really, I am…I will be able to see so much better, especially when I’m reading.
One of my favorite things ~hand knitted hats and mittens. There’s nothing so cozy in the whole wild world.
