The Simple Woman’s Daybook November 28, 2010

FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook

Outside my window… ~37 degrees and frosty outside, with an inch or two of snow on the ground.

I am thinking… ~I am on the ball this year for Christmas.  Shopping and wrapping are complete already.
I am thankful for… ~the newest addition to our family, Bear.  He’s absolutely adorable and Little Man loves him so much.  I think the feeling is mutual.
I am wearing… ~a purple waffle weave shirt and tan cords.  Toasty!
I am remembering… ~the fun times and the laughs I had with my sister, my son and my nieces and nephews this past week.  It was a great visit.  Not perfect, everyone wasn’t happy all the time (including me), but it was nice to have them here and I do miss them now that they’ve gone home.
I am going… ~to start planning my cookie exchange menu.
I am currently reading…~nothing bookwise, yet again.  I will most likely wait to start something after the holidays.
I am hoping…~that I can get my DayLight lamp exchanged without too much trouble.  I love it, but when it comes defective right out of the box, it’s a bit annoying and frustrating.
On my mind… ~making Christmas cards and getting a Christmas portrait of my boys taken.
Noticing that… ~there is an overwhelming sense of happiness in my house.  I love this.
Pondering these words… “Karma.” I am a firm believer–you get what you give, 1000 fold.
From the kitchen… ~2 batches of savory chex mix, cheese crackers, slow cooker BBQ ribs, and precooking 18 lbs. of ground beef for use over the next couple of months.
Around the house… ~Christmas tree is up, I’ll be decorating it over the course of the next week.  Laundry is completely finished, and I’m still working on dusting.  I think dusting never ends.
One of my favorite things…~candy canes.  I could eat them year round.
