Classic This Just In

Daily Archives: November 11, 2010

I recently made three dozen of these for a coworker’s baby shower. (Click on any of the images to see a larger picture.)

They turned out so darn cute! Since she’s having a boy, I made the cradles from baby blue cardstock.

I used my current love, my Silhouette cutting machine, to cut the favors.  This made it relatively quick to do, I made all of these in a single evening, over the course of about 3 hours start to finish with a break or two for Facebook inbetween.

The cradle itself was designed by my bff, Andrea Wainscott.   If you’re interested in making these yourself, you can purchase a GSD file, along with the template in PNG format by clicking here and visiting TooFaboo.com.

I was going to use baby blue and white M & M’s as the filler for these, but let’s just say that those were extremely cost prohibitive.  In the end I decided on some white shredded paper along with cookies and creme Hershey™ kisses for the baby blue wrappers, and plain Hershey™ kisses for the silver wrappers in place of the white.  I was really pleased with the results.

These are fast and fun, and will be one of my go-to party favors in addition to custom wrapped candy bars for any baby showers I am asked to help with.
