FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook
Outside my window… ~43 degrees, windy and gray outside. A true November day.
I am thinking… ~There really needs to be more gratitude in the world. People who take others for granted will have a real wake up eventually.
I am thankful for… ~the little town I live in. There are no jobs here, there is no shopping. Really, the town is dying…but I love it here for some reason.
I am wearing… ~a purple turtleneck and jeans. Turtlenecks and jeans are probably my favorite outfits ever.
I am remembering… ~what a fabulous time I had in Minnesota last weekend. I got to meet my friends Nathan and Yolanda and their little boy Keston at Mall of America, and I enjoyed that so much! We’re going to get together again, but not at MoA. The craziness there is just too much.
I am going… ~start wrapping Christmas gifts on Monday. Yes, I’m ahead of the game.
I am currently reading…~nothing bookwise. I am reading magazines and the internet, and *gasp* actually watching some television.
I am hoping…~to start the cross stitch project I bought at Crafts Direct soon.
On my mind… ~making Thanksgiving cards. This will be my first attempt at something like this, I have the plans all laid out in my head.
Noticing that… ~my family (parents, brothers, sisters) is not nearly as close as it once was. I’m actually okay with this.
Pondering these words… “Be thankful for what you have.” I am indeed thankful, for I have an abundance.
From the kitchen… ~4 dozen chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles for the Little Heroes blood drive on Wednesday; Ham and cheese omelettes and toast tonight; Rag Soup tomorrow night; Pumpkin spice chex mix, regular chex mix, chicken fried rice on deck.
Around the house… ~Sweeping, dusting, laundry and decluttering flat surfaces. Getting ready to host my cookie exchange, I can’t believe November is half over already.
One of my favorite things ~socks. I collect them, and can’t seem to get enough. The funkier the pattern, the better.
