FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook
Outside my window… ~23 degrees and dark. I’ve been busy with laundry, baking and cooking today. I’ve been wanting to blog, but only now have a minute since Little Man is in the shower.
I am thinking… ~that getting my Nook was a good idea. I’ve read four books on it so far, and I love the fact that you can download cookbooks to it as well.
I am thankful for… ~my health. I still snap back from getting sick pretty well. I can’t plow through it like I could in my 30′s, but I don’t do too badly for an old broad.
I am wearing… ~a yellow crinkle top and jeans.
I am remembering… ~when Little Man was a baby. He was so doggone cute.
I am going… ~to get my pictures from our Chicago trip uploaded to Walgreens this week. I want to print them out. I’m also going to blog about our adventures, because we had a really good time.
I am currently reading…~Stormrage by Richard Knaak. It’s a World of Warcraft novel. I still love reading these books even though I no longer play the game. I’ve always loved the fantasy genre.
I am hoping…~that spring decides to show up soon. I am thoroughly ready to be done with winter.
On my mind… ~Getting everything done I need to do this week. Tuesday is an especially busy for me this week, with a dentist appointment, baseball signups and popcorn bagging for the Jump Rope for Heart event at the school.
Noticing that… ~the days are getting longer. It’s not dark at 6 p.m. anymore.
Pondering these words… nothing. Nada. Zip. Insert clever quote here. I have too much going on for deep thoughts today.
From the kitchen… ~Bacon cheddar bread, peach raspberry crisp, garlic parmesan chicken and rice; I haven’t planned this week’s menu yet, but I know I’ll be doing pork chops and cream of chicken noodles one night this week. I’m in a cooking rut–I need to browse some recipes for inspiration.
Around the house… ~laundry, sweeping, dusting…all done. Catching up, because apparently Lysol-ing my whole house didn’t stop me from getting a horrid case of the flu last Wednesday/Thursday.
One of my favorite things…~my new floors. My brother and dad replaced my hall and kitchen floors for me while we were in Chicago last week. They look wonderful, and that will be a whole post in itself. Thanks Tommy and Dad!
