My cousin Becky and I teamed up to make these adorable party favors for her daughter Sierra’s birthday party. I love the way these turned out.
I used my Silhouette to cut the hexagon boxes in different shades of purple.
In Photoshop, I created the hexagons, typed text on a path, applied a metallic gold layer style to the “HP”, and a bronze layer style to the words “Chocolate Frog”.
Becky made the chocolate frogs (you can find a mold for them inexpensively here) and the Famous Wizard Collector Cards to go inside the boxes.
Sierra and her friends loved them.
I had fun making them too:)

Those are so cute! My daughter (19 years old) would love them LOL! She is huge Harry Potter fan. Never thought to use mold. Always thought to take gummy frogs and dip in chocolate. Sierra will love them.
I don’t understand why you made the boxes hexagons instead of pentagons, as the cards are? I made some cards and frogs for my kids’ co/op and I found some tutorials for pentagon boxes, but haven’t tried them yet. They may be difficult but boy are they authentic looking!
Hi Sara! I made them this way because that’s what my cousin requested.:) We looked at the pattern available online for the pentagon boxes, but decided to go with these. Good question though:)
Stacey can you e-mail me more instructions on how you made the Harry Potter hexagon boxes? any help will be appreciated.

Hi Patty! I used my Silhouette to cut these out. There’s a pattern online to make more “authentic” boxes too, you can Google it to find it, it’s all over.
