After The Storm

Today’s excessively rainy weather reminded me of these photos I took a couple of weeks ago after we had a severe storm that actually resulted in a tornado watch for our area for several hours.  The sunset was so beautiful, and the clouds were so cool looking I just had to take a couple of pics.  Of course little man loved the sunset too…he wanted to have me take his picture while he was “holding the sun” but he wasn’t quite tall enough to have the sun in the palm of his hand.  One of these days we’ll get a picture like that.

It gives me a warm feeling to see the farmland to the left in the background of the picture below.  I love the fact that I live in a rural community for so many reasons.  Backdrops like this are just one of them.
