FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook

Outside my window… ~63 degree and cloudy with light rain off and on.  It’s been a cool one all day–very invigorating.
I am thinking… ~that it’s been quite a while since I’ve written one of these posts.  I need to be more regular about it.
I am thankful for… ~the fact that I decided to get my health in order before something bad happened to me because I wasn’t taking care of myself.
I am wearing… ~a cute (smaller) floral tank top and denim capris that I bought to try and fit into this summer…they already fit and are getting big already!
I am remembering… ~the fun Little Man, my nephew Nathan and I had last night playing Uno.  We’ve started a summer tournament and we’re keeping track of how many hands are won by each person.  I’m treating the winner to ice cream from the Big Dipper or DQ, their choice.
I am going… ~to make a Summertime Strawberry Cooler cake tonight and cheddar bacon bread in the morning.
I am currently reading…~Rise of the Horde by Christie Golden, again.  I just love the story.
I am hoping…~to lose weight again this week.  I won’t be too upset if I don’t because I had an absolutely off the plan day yesterday and I realize that might affect things.  I’m still plugging along, down 33 lbs. now.
On my mind… ~bills.  Good grief they never end.  Dental bills are really hefty right now and I am worrying just a bit.
Noticing that… ~I am bored a bit during the day! I know right? How can that be?! But I am…it’s time to kick it in the butt and do some visiting with friends and some crafting with my kiddo.
Pondering these words…
If you’re “committed” to losing weight…

* Nothing stops your efforts. You stick with your diet, “no matter what.”
* Emotions don’t control your actions. You stay on track even when you don’t feel like it.
* Your motivation isn’t linked to the scale. You assume that if you stay motivated and work hard, you’ll eventually see results.
* You don’t depend on other people for your success. You know it’s up to you, not them.
* A bad day or a lot of challenges don’t affect your efforts. You keep going in spite of it.

From the kitchen… ~cheddar bacon bread; spicy chicken quesadillas and beef tacos; hot dogs on the grill with baked french fries and lasagna with cheesy garlic bread.
Around the house… ~Laundry done, things are mostly tidy.  My office is getting messy again though so I’ll need to clean that up this week.  Changed bed linens today, washed them and hung them on my clothesline to dry.  I love that about summertime.
One of my favorite things…~having my nieces and nephews come stay for a while in the summer.  Right now I have Jessica and Nathan up from Westland staying at my house, and Raven up from Tennessee staying at my mother’s.  Kenya is also at my mom’s. Lots of kids that I love coming and going.
