FOR TODAY… from Stacey’s Daybook
Outside my window… ~61 degrees and sunny. Shaping up to be another beautiful fall day.
I am thinking… ~that the new storm doors I ordered for the house should save me money on the heat bill this winter. I can’t wait to have them done.
I am thankful for… ~ my friends. I have many, and I feel so fortunate!
I am wearing… ~my brown yoga pants and a huge dark green pajama shirt. Comfy, cozy and soon to be changed so I can head out to WalMart real quick.
I am remembering… ~the school supplies I always loved getting as a child. I bought a 96 pack of crayons for Little Man the other day, and I think I was as excited to get them as he was. I love school supplies…I seriously should have been a teacher.
I am going… ~to decorate for fall this week.:)
I am currently reading…~The Hunger Games (again!!) by Suzanne Collins. I’m re-reading ‘Catching Fire’ currently. Such great books!
I am hoping…~to keep steadily making home improvements. I have Home Depot coming to measure my windows upstairs soon.
On my mind… ~Christmas. Yeah, I know Halloween hasn’t even been here yet, but I’m a planner that way.
Noticing that… ~the trees are starting to really change now. Bring it on, it makes life exhilarating.
Pondering these words..Life is a tragedy for those who feel, and a comedy for those who think.

From the kitchen… ~Here’s the menu for the upcoming week! Have I mentioned that I love planning this out in advance? Well, I do. I’ve actually stuck to it too!
Around the house… ~Laundry done, decluttering in progress. Baking and cooking this afternoon. I made a pretty autumn centerpiece for my dining room table this morning. I got some autumn floral picks on sale at Hobby Lobby yesterday and a large candle for $12…I combined these with a large, flat basket that a friend gave me for free. So about $25 later, I have this (click on the picture to enlarge):
It really looks striking in the middle of my table.
One of my favorite things…~fall baking. Heaven help me I just LOVE it.
