I received an awesome double Belgian waffle maker for Christmas this year. I’ve been wanting one for some time, so it was such excitement to actually get one. I also received some excellent waffle mixes from Carbon Golden Malted, and an awesome Christmas breakfast was had by all!
These little babies cooked up fast–2 Belgian waffles, just like they make in restaurants–in three minutes flat.
We had four kinds to choose from: plain, gingerbread, blueberry and chocolate chip. The only kind we didn’t try was gingerbread, and I’ll probably do that tomorrow.
I’m really excited to try different recipes, and I’ve decided to leave the waffle maker right on my counter top for as long as I want to use it regularly. My cookie jar, which remains empty a good deal of the time anymore, will be relegated to the basement storage area for a while.
Does this not look absolutely scrumptious?
We all loved them…even Bear. He ate half a waffle too, with syrup. Spoiled doggie. I think Little Man was as excited as I was, because he’s the biggest waffle lover in our family.
I have lots of new recipes to try out, and what’s really cool is that I can freeze these and then heat them up in our toaster because our toaster slots are big enough that they’ll fit without a problem. This made Little Man very happy because he’s a big fan of frozen waffles. Now he can have the best of both worlds.
Stay tuned for more waffle posts in the coming year, I’m sure there will be a bunch.
