My baby turns 10 on Sunday. I can’t believe he’s that old already.
This morning he made his own oatmeal, just the way I make it. That was a bittersweet moment for me.
We’ve always made his breakfast, his dad or I.
I asked him “Did I teach you to make that?” He said “No Mom, I learned from watching you.”
He had me take a bite of the oatmeal he made and asked what I thought of it.
I don’t like oatmeal as a cereal. I took a bite anyway, and it was really good.
I don’t know if I’m ready for my Little Man to grow up on me. I never thought I would say that either. I am not a super dee duper maternal person. But then again, maybe I am.
We’re having a party tomorrow at a local park/beach. We’re serving foot long hot dogs, sugar free Hawaiian punch and a Left for Dead birthday cake. He’s super dee duper excited.
I made this centerpiece too…found the idea on Pinterest and modified it to suit a jar I had on hand. You tie the balloons to the top of the jar and place it in the middle of the table.
This will be a door prize in addition to the goodie bags we have to give away. Little Man (do I need a new nickname? Should I just go with Evan from now on? Probably.) is stoked because he gets all the left over gum balls and there are tons of them.
More pictures tomorrow from all the birthday fun!
