Monthly Archives: August 2012
If you keep up with me on Face Book at all, you’ll have seen this picture:
And this picture:
Both of which sum up most of my month of July pretty well.
I spent a lot of evenings picking raspberries with my Dad in his garden; I really enjoyed it too, whether Dad and I visited while picking or were just quiet (yes, believe it or not, we Fishers can be quiet. Don’t fall over from shock or anything).
My dad said it was the biggest raspberry crop he’d ever seen in his garden, and in truth, it seemed like they just wouldn’t stop growing.
It was pretty cool. I have a ton of raspberries in my freezer, I’ve made dozens of raspberry turnovers, and just the other day my parents gave me 4 of these:
Each one makes about 8 half pint jars of SEEDLESS RASPBERRY JAM. So if you guessed raspberry jam on THIS POST from the other day, you were right. I’ll be making a few batches on my next days off this week.
I also told you I’d be giving away three jars of seedless raspberry jam as well.
I used random.org to determine the winners, and they were as follows:
Congratulations to the winners, please contact me at rscet AT att DOT net to claim your prize!
I’ll be posting some shots of the raspberry patch in a day or two, but tonight I’m too tired for a long blog post.
Stay tuned,
Stacey
