This Just In

I’m killing two birds with one stone here…I’m showing off my new deep pink verbena hanging baskets and the new porch rails my brother built for me.   Before he built these beauties, I had a rickety metal rail that listed severely from side to side.  My parents are getting older, and that just wouldn’t do.  I don’t even want to think about them taking a tumble down my stairs (which also need replacing). Now I have two very sturdy rails for them to hold onto, and for me to decorate with wreaths and garland for various holidays!  Peace of mind and great decorating possibilities to boot.  Gotta love it.

As much as I love this house, I’m going to be replacing it one piece and one project at a time.  I guess like most people, because who can afford to completely remodel everything at once?  My dad and brother redid my hall floor and kitchen floor too while we were away in Chicago back in February.  I’ll show you those pics tomorrow, my floors look lovely.

I love these hanging baskets.  Pink is one of my very favorite colors, and my mom found these for me at Ken’s Village Market in Indian River while I was in Minnesota this past weekend.  Thanks for picking them up Mom, I just love them.
