Product Reviews

I’ve been dabbling in digi scrap now for a few years.  I use a lot of Cindy Schnieder’s templates to give me unique looks quickly.  One glance at Cindy’s catalog and you’ll see why I’m addicted–she has some amazing stuff, and I will probably use her products forever and ever amen.

However, I’ve decided I want to get serious about learning to digi scrap from scratch.  I want to make photo books for my sons and I don’t want pictures to sit on my computer, completely forgotten and not enjoyed the way they should be.

I really think that digital photos are a wonderful thing– the one drawback being that we’re not forced to print them to see them like in the old days.  We delete imperfect, blurry photos instantly, sometimes deleting the moment all together because the pictures weren’t ‘good enough’.  Before digital, those sometimes blurry photos might be all you had to remember an important event by, and they were treasured none the less.  So in an effort to make use of the gigabytes of photos I have on my hard drives, I’m going to put an honest effort into learning different techniques from scratch.

I came upon an awesome website today: The Daily Digi.  I know it’s been around for a while, but I never really went there until today when Traci Reed posted on Facebook that she was being featured there again.  I love Traci’s designs and have quite a few of her kits.  My favorite is “Apple of My Eye“, but I also like “At the Dojo” and the “Summer Staycation” Collection.  But I digress….over at TDD, you can become a member for just $7.50 USD per month (It’s even less if you purchase a year in advance).  This month, you get this:

which includes “Hello Goodbye” by Traci Reed!  You also get a really cool ebook in PDF format with ideas for layouts using the featured kits and tips, tricks and techniques for digi scrap in general.  There are templates too, if you want to fast scrap.  It offers something for everyone.

I know I sound like I work for TDD, but I really don’t…I’m just super excited that I found this site and wanted to share it with you!  Because if you’re like me and want to get seriously started in digi scrap, this looks like an awesome place to start.

Oh hey…look at what else you get when you sign up…every 4 months you get an extra goodie, and this one is HUGE!  There are so many beautiful things in this kit, I don’t even know where to begin:

There’s a font, brushes, SVG cutting files, hybrid printable journal tags, tons of cute papers, elements and more.  Totally worth checking out!

You’ll be seeing some layouts from me in the near future…some will be templates, and others will be from scratch, using techniques that I’ve learned.  I’m so happy and excited to begin this little adventure in creativity!
