It’s taken ten years, but at last the United States has killed Osama Bin Laden. I am not openly jubilant about this–don’t misunderstand, I’m happy he’s dead. I just feel the need to be still right now…to honor those men and women in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed so much for our country to get to this point; to wait on our leaders, who will need to outline a new plan in dealing with Al Quaeda and other terrorist cells; and to remember September 11 and the men, women and children who were senselessly and cruelly slaughtered that day.
I look with grim determination upon the death of Osama Bin Laden, because I don’t believe that our dealings with radical Islam are over. It is my belief that as Americans, we need to be on guard and more vigilant than ever, because some attempt at retaliation is sure to come. When it does, we need to be ready.
God Bless the USA!
