Being a fellow Michigander, I LOVED your pics of “up north”! Spent half my life in Mackinaw City, it seems. (I live in Wyoming – just outside of Grand Rapids)
My aunt & uncle owned a motel there so I used to go up to Mac 2, 3, 4 times EVERY summer since I was VERY small. Then my folks had a cottage on Carp (Paradise) Lake for a while. My mom was the hostess at ‘Neath the Birches for Marvel & Glen in the summers. Even STILL, my mom, her sisters, my daughter and myself go “up” every June for a “Sisters Weekend”!
